I only used myself as an example that just because a standard exists, not everyone is actually using it. 4k is indeed the new hotness (tv, phones), but here in the states, it simply does not have the level of media penetration yet. Many people just got their first 1080p (or full HD) televisions in the last year or so before 4k became the buzzword that manufacturers needed to sell product with.
